Choice of Health Care Plans

Employees have a choice of medical and dental plans.  The employee and eligible dependents must enroll in the same plans.

• Foundation Plan offers comprehensive medical coverage, including prescription drugs.  Members are able to choose their own physician and hospital and level of benefit.  Benefits paid under the plan are subject to annual deductibles and copayments. 
• Kaiser Health Plan offers comprehensive coverage at any Kaiser facility, including coverage for prescription drugs, vision care and psychological services.
• SJUSD Self-Funded Dental Plan offers coverage for a percentage of the cost of dental treatment from a dentist of your choice.
• Life Insurance Plan offers employees $15,000 life insurance coverage for all bargaining units except Administrators.  Administrators are eligible for $50,000 life insurance coverage.
